Why we built Permit2Drive
Like many families, we found ourselves helping our son track his supervised driving hours while he worked toward getting his license.
The tools available at the time worked—but they felt limited. Logging drives wasn’t always flexible, sharing responsibility across multiple supervisors was difficult, and some everyday scenarios (like pausing a drive during errands) weren’t handled well.
We felt there should be a better option—something simple, flexible, and designed for how people actually drive.
So we built Permit2Drive.
We’re currently using it ourselves to track our son’s hours, and it’s made the process much easier and more organized. We built it for our own family—and wanted to share it to help others going through the same journey.
